Amethyst Crystal Portal Cathedral Cut Base - One of a Kind, 22 Inch #2

This amethyst portal cathedral is the kind of piece guests notice the moment they walk in.

An amethyst cathedral, sometimes sold as a portal, is a section of a geode cut so the crystal lined hollow faces out and the piece stands on its own. This one has a cut base, so it sits upright without a separate stand, and at about 22 inches tall it works on the floor beside a fireplace, in an entry, in a meditation room or at the end of a long console. It is relatively slim at about 4 inches deep, which helps it fit against a wall or into a shelf niche where a deeper geode would crowd the space. Amethyst is the February birthstone, so it also suits a milestone birthday, a housewarming or a business opening. The second photo shows it styled with decor, which helps you picture the scale at home. This is the exact cathedral shown.

The cathedral is about 22 by 12 by 4 inches. If you need the weight for a shelf or a stairway, please ask before ordering.

About Amethyst Cathedrals

An amethyst cathedral is a tall section of a geode, cut so it stands upright with its crystal lined hollow facing out. Amethyst is purple quartz colored by trace iron and natural radiation, and large amethyst geodes are mined mainly in Brazil and Uruguay.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
