Lodolite Garden Quartz Buddha on Carved Wooden Base - One of a Kind

This Buddha was carved from polished garden quartz, also called lodolite, and red iron inclusions seem to radiate outward from the figure.

The carving sits on an elaborately sculpted wooden base decorated with Chinese symbols of good fortune, including a yuanbao ingot and lotus pods, so the stone and the base read as one finished sculpture. Both the Buddha and the base were carved by artisans in China. Garden quartz is clear quartz full of mineral inclusions, and no two pieces look the same, which means this exact scene of red inclusions will not repeat. At about 6.75 inches tall, it is a strong focal point for a meditation corner, a living room shelf, a reception desk or an office. It makes a meaningful gift for a new home, a business opening or Lunar New Year. The wooden base is included, so there is nothing extra to buy. This is the exact Buddha sculpture shown.

The sculpture is about 6.75 inches tall by 4 by 2.75 inches and weighs about 636 grams (1.4 pounds), base included.

About Lodolite and the Yuanbao

Lodolite, also called garden quartz or scenic quartz, is clear quartz with mineral inclusions; its red, brown and yellow tones come from hematite and goethite, and Minas Gerais, Brazil is the principal source. The yuanbao, or sycee, is the boat shaped gold or silver ingot used as currency in imperial China, and gold yuanbao remain a symbol of wealth and prosperity at Chinese New Year.

Stone Meaning: Lodolite is traditionally associated with nature and inner reflection.
