Extra Large Amethyst Cave Geode from Brazil - Over 1300 Lb, 56 In

Most people only ever see an amethyst cave this deep behind museum glass.

This one of a kind geode was hand picked from Brazil, and it is all about depth: the cave opens wide and runs deep, so the crystal lining fills your view when you stand in front of it. At this scale it is the focal point of a lobby, a large living room, a hotel or a showroom. Designers use pieces this size the way others use a large sculpture, as the first thing guests notice and the thing they ask about.

About Amethyst Cathedrals

An amethyst cathedral is a section of a large geode, cut so it stands upright with its crystal lined cavity facing out. In Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, amethyst forms in big geodes inside volcanic rock, and its purple comes from trace iron exposed to natural radiation. It is the modern birthstone for February.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
