Large Green Apophyllite with Peach Stilbite Cluster - One of a Kind, 9 In

Anyone who has been waiting for a specimen to anchor a display should look at this long cluster of green apophyllite with peach stilbite.

It runs more than twice as long as it is wide, so the green crystals and peach stilbite spread out along its length and read well on a mantel, a long shelf or the top of a credenza. The ruler photo gives the scale. Apophyllite's glassy crystals and stilbite's softer, warmer tone sit side by side, which gives the piece more to look at than a single mineral. At this size it holds its own in a room and suits a serious collector, a geology lover marking a milestone, or an office that wants a natural specimen in place of art.

About Apophyllite and Stilbite

Stilbite is a true zeolite, a hydrous calcium sodium aluminum silicate that often forms sheaf or bow tie shaped bundles of thin crystals. Apophyllite is classified separately as a phyllosilicate, but the two are commonly found together, and well known apophyllite sources include Jalgaon, India and Mont Saint-Hilaire, Canada.

Stone Meaning: Apophyllite is traditionally associated with clarity and spiritual growth.
