Tall Amethyst Cave Geode - One of a Kind, 17.5 In

A corner that needs height is where this tall amethyst cave belongs, standing well over a foot high on its own flat base.

Its shape is upright and narrow, so it fits where a wide geode would not: beside a doorway, at the end of a hall, on a sturdy pedestal. The front is cut flat to open up the purple crystal inside, and the cut base keeps it steady. Because it is taller than it is wide, the crystal hollow draws the eye upward. It suits a collector building out a room of large pieces, or anyone who wants one tall geode instead of several small ones.

About Amethyst Caves

Amethyst caves are cut from large geodes, hollow pockets in volcanic rock where mineral rich groundwater slowly deposited silica that grew into purple quartz crystals. In Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and neighboring Artigas, Uruguay, amethyst forms in large geodes within volcanic rock, and the two regions are among the largest amethyst producers in the world.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
