About Titanium Finishes

Titanium and rainbow aura finishes are applied in a vacuum chamber as a metal film only a micron or two thick. Light reflecting through the film creates the iridescent color. Because it is a surface coating, it can wear with rough handling. The amethyst underneath is quartz with a hardness of 7.
