Natural Calcite Stalactite from Mexico - Pick Your Exact Piece, 4-10.5 In

Drip by drip over a very long time, mineral rich water built these calcite stalactites in caves in Mexico. Each one is a natural record of slow growth, with layers you can see at the top.

Stand them in a glass vase, lay them in a curiosity cabinet or display them as a group on a shelf for a natural history look. They are fascinating gifts for a geology lover, a science teacher or anyone who has visited a cave. With 21 to choose from, from short and slender to long and thick, you can pick the exact one you like.

Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. They range from about 4 inches long and 0.5 inch thick to 10.5 inches long; see the size chart below.

About Stalactites

Stalactites form as mineral rich water drips from a cave ceiling, leaving behind thin layers of calcium carbonate one after another. Cut across, they show concentric growth rings much like tree rings.
