Utah Septarian Coaster - Polished Stone, Pick Your Exact Piece

A polished septarian coaster turns your morning coffee into a small geology lesson, with earthy tones and angular veins under every mug.

Every number is a different piece, so look through the photos and choose the one you like best. The piece you select is the exact one we ship. One makes a handsome desk coaster, and a mismatched set adds natural character to a coffee table or bar cart.

Coasters range from about 5 to 7 inches across and are about 0.5 to 0.75 inch thick, weighing roughly 340 to 670 grams. See the size chart below for each number.

About Septarian

Septarian nodules are carbonate rich concretions with angular cracks filled by other minerals, often calcite. The name comes from the Latin septum, meaning partition, and despite a resemblance to dinosaur eggs, they are geological formations, not fossils.

Stone Meaning: Septarian is traditionally associated with nurturing and calm.
