Tourmaline with Feldspar Polished Tower - One of a Kind

Tall, highly polished and smooth, this tourmaline with feldspar tower shows two minerals that often grow side by side in granite pegmatites.

The high polish lets you see exactly where the tourmaline and feldspar meet. It has the height to hold its own on a console, a mantel or a bookshelf, and the cut base keeps it upright. The ruler photo gives the scale, and the close up on white shows the stone in detail. It suits a collector who likes a specimen with geology in it, and it makes a solid October birthstone gift.

About Tourmaline and Feldspar

Tourmaline is a group of boron silicate minerals, and feldspars are the most abundant mineral group in Earth's crust. Both are common in granite pegmatites, coarse rocks whose crystals can grow very large, and large tourmaline crystals form in cavities and fractures during hydrothermal activity. Tourmaline is one of the October birthstones.

Stone Meaning: Tourmaline is traditionally associated with protection and balance.
