Smoky Quartz Raw Point with Mica - One of a Kind, 6.75 In

This raw smoky quartz point carries mica flakes on its surface, a companion mineral that adds a metallic glint to the brown crystal. It is a one of a kind natural specimen.

Mica splits into thin, shiny sheets, so the flakes flash as you turn the point under a lamp, a nice contrast to the glassy quartz. The close up photo shows where they sit. Two minerals on one piece make it more interesting for a collector than a plain point, and the raw shape keeps it looking just as it came from the ground. Display it on a bookshelf, a nightstand or a meditation table, or give it to someone who likes their crystals unpolished and natural.

About Smoky Quartz

Smoky quartz is the brown to gray variety of quartz, colored by natural radiation acting on trace aluminum. Very dark, nearly black material is called morion, and the smoky quartz of the Cairngorm Mountains, called cairngorm, has long been set in Scottish jewelry and knife handles. Crystals from pegmatites and alpine fissures tend to be evenly colored.

Stone Meaning: Smoky quartz is traditionally associated with grounding and calm.
