Short on shelf space? This green apophyllite with stilbite is compact enough to fit almost anywhere.

Its crystals show well from the front, the side and above, and the shape is chunky enough to sit steady on a shelf or a small acrylic stand. Green apophyllite crystals have a glassy, almost wet looking shine, and the stilbite adds a different texture alongside them. It is a good size for a desk, a bathroom shelf or a cabinet of natural history pieces, and it works as a gift for someone who prefers raw minerals to polished stones.

About Apophyllite and Stilbite

Apophyllite is a group of phyllosilicate minerals that forms prismatic, glassy crystals in colorless, white and green. It is often listed with the zeolites but is classed separately. Stilbite is a true zeolite that tends to grow in sheaf or bow tie shaped bundles of thin crystals. The two are found together in cavities in basalt, and the Deccan Traps of India are known for pale green apophyllite with stilbite.

Stone Meaning: Green apophyllite is traditionally associated with clarity and renewal.
