Agate Druzy Sphere - One of a Kind with Open Crystal Center, 4.75 Inch

Turn this agate sphere and you find a window into the stone: an open pocket of sparkling druzy crystals set into soft light blue and white bands.

That contrast between smooth polished agate and the glittering center is what makes it special. In natural light, the blues and whites seem to blend into each other, and the druzy catches light from every angle. At nearly 5 inches across, it is a substantial centerpiece for a desk, an altar, a mantel or a collector's shelf, and a memorable gift for someone who loves geodes. This is the exact sphere shown.

The sphere is about 4.75 inches in diameter. Display it with the druzy facing out, or turn it to show the swirling agate on the other side.

About Agate

Agate is a translucent, banded variety of microcrystalline quartz. Its bands form as silica is deposited layer by layer inside a rock cavity, and some cavities end up lined with sparkling druzy crystals. Agate is slightly porous, so it takes dye well, which is how most vividly colored agate in the trade is made.

Stone Meaning: Agate is traditionally associated with balance and stability.

Add a Sphere Stand

A sphere this size deserves a sturdy base that keeps it steady and shows it off. Browse our crystal sphere stands and holders and choose a metal or brass style sized for its diameter, or a carved wood stand for a warmer look.
