About Hemimorphite

Hemimorphite is a zinc silicate and an ore of zinc. Its name refers to hemimorphic crystals, whose two ends have different shapes, one blunt and one sharp. It has a hardness of 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Mimetite, a lead arsenate mineral, often forms alongside it in the oxidized zones of ore deposits.
