About Lepidolite

Lepidolite is a lithium bearing mica and the most common lithium mineral. It forms in granite pegmatites alongside quartz, feldspar, tourmaline and spodumene, and its lilac color comes from trace manganese. Like other micas it is soft and flaky, which is where the shimmer in polished pieces comes from.
