About Chlorite Quartz
Chlorite is a group of usually green sheet silicate minerals that often occur as inclusions in other minerals. In quartz, chlorite can scatter through the crystal as green clouds or settle on a growing face; when quartz then grows over that coating, a green phantom forms. The host is ordinary quartz, silicon dioxide, hard at 7 and resistant to weathering.
