Large Purple Amethyst Geode on Metal Stand - 15 In (DOOAK-S20-08)

Some amethyst is meant to sit low on a shelf; this tall, slim geode is meant to stand up and be seen.

We hand picked this large purple cluster for its sparkle, and it is mounted upright on a metal stand with a broad square base, which holds the crystal face upright on a sideboard or entry table. The geode is slim from front to back, so it fits shallow spaces where a round geode would overhang. It suits a new office, or a milestone gift for an amethyst lover.

About Amethyst Geodes

In Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and neighboring Artigas, Uruguay, amethyst grows in large geodes inside volcanic rock, and the two areas are among the world's largest producers. A geode forms as mineral rich groundwater slowly deposits crystal inside a hollow cavity, and amethyst gets its purple from trace iron exposed to natural radiation.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
