About Geodes

A geode is a hollow, roughly round rock lined with crystals or mineral bands. It forms as mineral rich groundwater slowly deposits material inside a cavity, and the lining is usually agate, chalcedony or quartz. Druzy is the name for the coating of fine crystals that gives many geodes their sparkle.
