About Himalayan Salt

Himalayan salt is rock salt, or halite, sodium chloride. Its pink to orange tones come from impurities, and the Khewra salt mine in Pakistan is a famous source. Halite is soft, about 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale, and dissolves in water.
