Amethyst Stalactite Top Drilled Crystal - As Is

This natural amethyst stalactite shows circular banding in dark to light purple tones, and it is drilled at the top so it is ready to hang. Each piece measures about 0.825 by 1 inch to 1.125 by 2.125 inches.

About Amethyst Stalactites

Amethyst stalactites form inside geodes in volcanic basalt and are well known from mines near Artigas, Uruguay. They grow layer by layer from mineral rich water, so a cross section shows banding of chalcedony and amethyst around the core.
