This green fluorite cluster came out of the Milky Way Pocket at the Diana Maria Mine in England, where it was discovered in 2020.

It is a true cabinet specimen, a little larger than a fist, made of fluorite crystals that grew in cubic form. Under indoor light the cubes read green, and in natural daylight they take on a blue green hue, so it is worth viewing by a window and again under a lamp to see both of its colors. The mine and pocket are both named, which is the kind of locality detail serious collectors want when a specimen joins a catalogued collection. Give it a lit cabinet shelf at eye level where the cube faces can catch light from more than one direction. For a fluorite collector, a geologist or anyone marking a big occasion, it is a piece to keep for good.

About Diana Maria Mine Fluorite

Fluorite is calcium fluoride, the mineral that defines hardness 4 on the Mohs scale, and it commonly crystallizes in cubes. The Diana Maria Mine is part of the Rogerley quarry in the historic Weardale mining district of County Durham, England; it began as a surface operation in 2017 and moved to tunneling in 2018. Fluorite from Rogerley is known for fluorescing under both daylight and ultraviolet light.

Stone Meaning: Fluorite is traditionally associated with focus and clarity.
