Cat lovers who make jewelry, this one is for you: a small carved crystal cat, drilled through the top so it can hang.

Choose blue quartz, ocean jasper or unakite, and each cat is carved, polished and drilled through the top, ready to become a pendant, a charm, a craft project or a wire wrapped piece. It also sits nicely on a desk or shelf as a tiny figurine. Each cat is about 2.4 to 2.6 centimeters tall, so it is a dainty size that works well on a necklace. Because these are natural stones, color and pattern vary from cat to cat, and the photo shows typical examples of each stone. They make an easy add on gift for a cat owner, a crafter or a friend who collects carved animals.

Each cat is about 2.4 to 2.6 by 1.5 to 1.8 by 1 centimeters. Look at the ruler photo for scale and the top view photo to see the drilled hole.

About the Stones

Ocean jasper is a silicified rhyolite known for round orbs in many colors, mined from a single coastal location in northern Madagascar. Unakite is an altered granite of pink feldspar, green epidote and quartz, named for the Unaka Range of the Great Smoky Mountains. Massive natural blue quartz gets a grayish blue color from mineral inclusions.

Stone Meaning: Ocean jasper is traditionally associated with joy and calm.
