About Ametrine

Ametrine is quartz with zones of purple amethyst and yellow to orange citrine in one crystal. Nearly all natural ametrine comes from the Anahi mine in Bolivia, though much ametrine on the market is made by heating or irradiating amethyst. It has a hardness of 7.
