Bookends are one crystal purchase that earns its keep twice: they hold your books and show off amethyst while they do it.

This set comes as a pair, and the left bookend carries a bonus, with calcite crystals and a small stalactite formation among the purple points, shown in the close up photos. The flat cut sides sit square against the books, and the photos show the pair holding four books upright. Set them on a desk, a bookshelf or a mantel with cookbooks in between. They suit a reader, a writer or a new home office.

About Amethyst with Calcite

Amethyst is purple quartz colored by trace iron and natural radiation. Calcite, calcium carbonate, often crystallizes later in the same geode pockets, leaving calcite crystals perched on the purple points. Calcite is much softer than quartz, 3 on the Mohs scale, so those areas deserve gentler handling.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.

  • You receive both exact amethyst bookends shown.
