Warm orange sunstone, with tiny metallic glints, is shaped into a slim pencil point with a tip at each end. Each point measures about 9 by 34 millimeters to 10 by 38 millimeters.

Double terminated points come to a tip at both ends, so they look balanced lying flat and work from either end in a crystal grid. Wire wrap one into a pendant, add several to a sacred space, or use them in crafts. Choose 1, 5 or 10; larger packs lower the price per point.

Sunstone has two directions of cleavage, so avoid hard knocks. Each point varies slightly in size and sparkle; the quarter photo shows the scale.

About Sunstone

Sunstone is a feldspar that flashes with metallic glints from tiny aligned plates of copper, hematite or goethite, an effect called aventurescence. It has a Mohs hardness of about 6 with two directions of cleavage.
