Small Elestial Smoky Quartz with Gold and Black Rutile - 3 In Crystal

Want gold and black rutile and skeletal faces in a piece small enough for a desk?

This piece of elestial smoky quartz holds gold and black rutile, and its alligator textured faces show the layered growth that defines elestial crystals. At about 2 by 3 by 1.5 inches, it fits in a palm, on a desk or in a small display box, and it is easy to tuck into a bag. Choose it for a birthday, a thank you or a first step into collecting quartz with inclusions. The brown of smoky quartz forms when natural radiation acts on trace aluminum, and the rutile needles grew within the quartz. This is the exact crystal pictured.

The crystal is about 2 by 3 by 1.5 inches. Check the ruler photo to see its size.

About Elestial Smoky Quartz with Rutile

Elestial is a market name for skeletal quartz, which forms when crystal edges grow faster than the faces, leaving layered, terraced faces sometimes called alligator skin. Smoky quartz gets its brown color from natural radiation acting on trace aluminum, and rutile adds fine needle like inclusions.

Stone Meaning: Rutilated smoky quartz is traditionally associated with clarity and grounding.
