Nephrite has a deep, earthy green and a silky polish, and this sphere is sold as is because it is not fully round.
Placed at the right angle, the shape difference is barely noticeable, and the photos show it clearly so you know what to expect. At about 2.5 inches, it is a comfortable palm size for a desk, a nightstand or a small altar. Nephrite is one of the two materials called jade, and it is famously tough, so it stands up well to everyday handling. It is a sensible way to own a nephrite sphere if a flawless shape matters less to you than the stone. This is the exact sphere shown.
The sphere is about 2.5 inches in diameter.
About Nephrite
Nephrite is one of the two materials called jade, alongside jadeite. It is made of tiny interlocking crystals, which makes it exceptionally tough, and it tends toward muted greens, creams and blacks.
Stone Meaning: Nephrite is traditionally associated with harmony and good fortune.
Add a Sphere Stand
A stand keeps a sphere from rolling and lifts it into view, so it looks finished on a shelf, desk or altar. Pick one from our crystal sphere stands and holders, with carved wood, brass, metal and clear acrylic styles. Check the stand size against the sphere diameter for a secure fit.
