About Zebra Onyx

Mexican onyx is a trade name for banded carbonate stone, usually calcite, rather than true onyx, which is a banded chalcedony. It is much softer than quartz, so it scratches more easily.

Traditional Meaning: Black and white banded stones are traditionally associated with balance.
