Septarian Sphere - Pick Your Exact Piece, Polished Dragon Stone, 3.375 In

Septarian, also called dragon stone, cracked into blocks long ago and filled those cracks with crystal, and polishing it into a sphere shows the whole web of veins at once.

These two spheres are the same size, so choose the pattern that speaks to you. Each makes a bold, earthy accent on a desk, a bookshelf or a coffee table, and its yellow brown color suits rustic, Southwestern and modern rooms alike. A septarian sphere is a fun conversation piece and a great gift for a rock hound, a dragon fan or anyone who likes stones with texture and story. You choose the exact sphere from the photos.

Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Both spheres are about 3.375 by 3.375 by 3.375 inches.

About Septarian

Septarian is a concretion: a carbonate rich nodule that cracked as it formed, with the cracks later filled by minerals such as calcite and aragonite. The name comes from the Latin septum, meaning partition, for the dividing walls between the blocks.

Stone Meaning: Septarian is traditionally associated with grounding and communication.

Sizes by Number

• 1: about 3.375" x 3.375" x 3.375"
• 2: about 3.375" x 3.375" x 3.375"

Add a Sphere Stand

A stand keeps a sphere from rolling and lifts it into view, so it looks finished on a shelf, desk or altar. Pick one from our crystal sphere stands and holders, with carved wood, brass, metal and clear acrylic styles. Check the stand size against the sphere diameter for a secure fit.
