Grape Agate Semi Polished Sphere - One of a Kind, 2.5 Inch

This semi polished sphere keeps some of grape agate's natural bubbly clusters while polishing the rest to a soft gloss, so smooth and raw meet in one piece.

That balance of refined and raw makes it a lovely piece to hold and turn in the hand. Display it on a small stand on a desk or altar. It is a thoughtful gift for a collector who already owns polished spheres and wants something unusual. This is the exact sphere shown. Its colors and textures shift as you turn it.

The sphere is about 2.25 by 2.5 inches. Its palm friendly size makes it easy to pick up and enjoy. It is a good choice if you want a sphere with more texture than a fully polished ball.

About Grape Agate

Grape agate is botryoidal, or grape like, chalcedony, more precisely amethystine botryoidal chalcedony. It comes from the Manakarra area of Sulawesi, Indonesia, and is a relatively new find. Despite the name it is not true agate, because it lacks banding.

Stone Meaning: Grape agate is traditionally associated with calm and spiritual growth.

Add a Sphere Stand

A stand keeps a sphere from rolling and lifts it into view, so it looks finished on a shelf, desk or altar. Pick one from our crystal sphere stands and holders, with carved wood, brass, metal and clear acrylic styles. Check the stand size against the sphere diameter for a secure fit.
