Orchid Calcite Polished Point - One of a Kind, 11.75 In

Calcite collectors who want every color will put an orchid calcite point this tall at the front of the shelf.

It is polished on every side and stands nearly a foot tall, so it reads as a centerpiece rather than an accent. Put it where afternoon light from a window crosses it, or pair it with green plants the way it is shown in the photos. The flat base keeps it steady on a shelf or a mantel. It also suits anyone who wants a softer looking stone than quartz in their room.

About Orchid Calcite

Calcite is calcium carbonate, and orchid calcite is a trade name for one of its many color varieties; calcite also comes in white, orange, blue, green, yellow and red. It is soft, 3 on the Mohs scale, and cleaves cleanly in three directions. Powdered calcite fizzes in dilute acid, a quick test geologists use to identify it.

Stone Meaning: Calcite is traditionally associated with balance and renewal.
