Amethyst Stone Polished on Metal Stand - Uruguay, 12 In, 8.1 Lb

You set it down, step back, and the purple does the rest.

This semi polished Uruguayan amethyst has smooth, shiny edges framing natural crystal, and a metal stand keeps it standing upright. It is a good length for the center of a mantel or a long sideboard, with enough weight to feel substantial. The decorated photo gives a sense of how it looks in a real room, and the backside view shows the reverse before you buy. Pick it for a housewarming, a retirement, or simply because your living room could use one well chosen stone.

About Uruguayan Amethyst

Artigas in northern Uruguay and the neighboring Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul are among the largest amethyst producers in the world. There the amethyst grows as a crop of crystals inside hollow, agate lined cavities in volcanic rock. Amethyst itself is purple quartz, colored by trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is hard and durable.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
