Lemurian quartz is a trade name for quartz points first marketed from Serra do Cabral, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the late 1990s. They are known for horizontal growth lines on alternating faces. Like all quartz, they have a Mohs hardness of 7, though druzy coatings can flake if knocked.
