Purple and gold swirl together in this medium ametrine tumbled stone, polished to a bright shine. Each stone measures about 1 to 2 inches across and 0.375 to 0.75 inches thick.

About Ametrine

Ametrine is quartz with zones of purple and yellow-orange in one crystal, with a Mohs hardness of 7. Nearly all natural ametrine comes from the Anahi mine in Bolivia, and much ametrine on the market is created by heat treating amethyst.

Stone Meaning: Ametrine is traditionally associated with balance, combining the calm of amethyst with the optimism of citrine.
