Small, flat and naturally purple, this rectangular amethyst slice is an easy starting point for wire wrapped pendants, rings and crafts.

Wrap it in copper or silver wire, glue it into a bezel, add it to a resin piece, or tuck it into a crystal grid. Its simple shape makes it a good choice for beginners learning to wire wrap.

Each slice is about 20 by 15 to 20 millimeters. Color, crystal pattern and thickness vary from piece to piece.

About Amethyst

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Its color comes from trace iron exposed to natural irradiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February.
