Rings of purple amethyst and chalcedony bloom around the core of this stalactite slice, like a flower captured in stone.

Display it on a windowsill or shelf where light can show its pattern, use it in jewelry and craft projects, or add it to a collection of unusual crystal formations. It makes a lovely, natural gift for anyone who loves amethyst.

Each slice is about 34 by 35 millimeters to 36 by 41 millimeters, and the pattern of rings is different in every piece.

About Amethyst Stalactites

Amethyst stalactites form inside geodes in volcanic basalt. A slice shows bands of chalcedony and amethyst around the core, and they are well known from mines near Artigas, Uruguay.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and clarity.
